Een taalcurus met slechts enkele deelnemers (max.6) in een prachtig middeleeuws stadje in de Pyreneen. Bovendien met een uitstekende lerares die op een prettig manier Frans geeft en de verschillen tussen de deelnemers steeds in het oog heeft. In het middaguur wordt er gezamelijk ergens gegeten en daarna vaak uitstapjes in de omgeving. Ondertussen wordt er alleen maar Frans gesproken. Kortom Valorme: een geweldige ervaring en er is geen betere manier de taal te verbeteren. Dit alles in een vakantiestemming. Ik was er dit jaar voor de vierde keer en hoop volgend jaar terug te komen.

Dazu trägt allerdings Corine als Sprachlehrerin einen ganz wesentlichen Teil bei. Das Spannende an ihren Unterrichtsstunden ist vor allem der meist fließende Wechsel von immer dem Niveau der Gruppe angepassten Übungen, ob es sich dabei um Arbeitsblätter, Sprachspiele oder Hörverstehensübungen handelt, mit manchmal lockeren, häufig aber recht tiefgehenden Gesprächen. Corine geht geschickt auf jeden in der Gruppe individuell ein und versteht es hervorragend, die anderen mit einzubeziehen. Dabei sind ihre Erklärungen so verständlich und klar, dass man manchmal den Eindruck hat, sie wären einem in der eigenen Sprache vermittelt worden.
Einer der Höhepunkte des "bain de langue" ist das gemeinsame Mittagessen, ganz zu schweigen von den gemeinsamen Ausflügen in die traumhaft schöne Umgebung von Foix.
Ich habe Corines Kurs zum ersten Mal als ziemlicher Anfänger besucht. Mittlerweile war ich bereits zum fünften Mal hier, und das wird mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein.

If you are looking for a French language program that has small classes, adult students, and a teacher who creates a very positive learning environment, we highly recommend Valorme French Language School in Foix, France with Corine Rouleau. Lessons are structured with student input and designed to meet each student’s needs. Classes are held each morning, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. Valorme is the perfect place for advanced students to fine-tune their French. Corine is a sensitive and skillful teacher who can identify and address those pesky problems that even the best prepared still stumble over even after many years of study. And Foix is a compact mall city where languages other than French are rarely heard. There are shops to meet students’ every need: book stores, restaurants, weekly outdoor markets, cafés, hardware stores and pharmacies, plus cinemas, a library and beautiful new swimming pool. Foix is rimmed with mountains; trails are accessible even without a car; and Toulouse is easily accessible by train. I can recommend Valorme and Foix without reservation.

I had the best time at Corine's language school. She is a very experienced and lovely teacher. The course's structure worked very well. The combination of morning classes and afternoon outings meant that I was able to put theory into practice. It also made the classes very engaging and enjoyable. Despite it being a group course, she took everyone's learning objectives into account. Speaking French all day has given my oral skills a significant boost. I would certainly recommend this course.

Twee weken ben ik in Foix bij het instituut Valorme geweest. De tijd vloog voorbij. Zeer goede appartementen van alle gemakken voorzien met bovendien een prachtig uitzicht op het kasteel van Foix. De lessen waren geweldig. Corrine is een uitstekende lerares die precies weet wat iedereen nodig heeft. 's Morgens in een ontspannen sfeer in een kleine groep in het Frans aan de praat, tussen de middag gezamenlijk eten in een van de vele restaurants en 's middags excursies in de omgeving van Foix. Prachtig de grotten van Niaux, maar nog veel mooier ons uitstapje naar de bergen waar we hebben gewandeld tussen loslopende koeien en paarden.
Een aanrader dit instituut Valorme. Mijn Frans is met sprongen vooruit gegaan. Volgend jaar hoop ik terug te komen.

La experiencia en Valorme me ha encantado. Es la mezcla perfecta: clases de gramática, clases de conversación, visitas a lugares interesantes por la tarde y hospedaje en unos apartanentos muy agradables.
Corine, la profesora, es una excelente profesional, te ayuda a superarte y confiar en ti mismo.
Foix también es un lugar interesante. Con mucha vidilla en la calle pero sin los agobios de las grandes ciudades.
Recomiendo la experiencia totalmente!

I spent a week at Valorme in October and wish I could have stayed longer. Everyone in our class was at about the same level and Corine tailored the classes to our needs and interests. She is a very intuitive and skilled teacher. We spent two afternoons on beautiful hikes and one on a boat trip on an underground river. All the excursions were fun, interesting, and in French! The apartments at Valorme could not be better. They are clean, functional, and even have kitchens. It was a real treat to be able to spend time in class, get to know the other students, go on afternoon excursions and get to know the charming town of Foix. I highly recommend Valorme!

Ich habe 3 Wochen in der Sprachschule verbracht und von meinem Aufenthalt sehr viel profitiert. Corinne ist eine sehr gute Lehrerin mit viel Erfahrung. Sie findet mit gutem Gefühl aus, wo die Student/Innen ihre Mängel haben und untersützt sie gezielt und professionell. Die Ausflüge am Nachmittag bieten eine schöne Abwechslung zu den Klassenstunden und eine weitere Möglichkeit für das Sprachtraining. Ich kann Valorme Allen, die ihr Französisch verbessern möchten, wärmsten empfehlen.

I spent two splendid weeks at Valorme in September. I have only wonderful things to say about my stay. First of all, Corine is totally amazing. She is a superb teacher, who employs many creative and entertaining techniques that enhance learning and make it fun. I don't know where she gets her energy and patience, but nothing seems to phase her. Time passes very quickly during the morning classes. And then you have the rest of the day to continue speaking French over lunch and during afternoon excursions.
The on site apartments are charming, you have everything you need, and if you don't Corine or Alain will help you find it. The location is out of a fairy tale and there are so many interesting sites to visit nearby.
My fellow students were from many different countries and all were so friendly and kind. All in all, a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this amazing immersion course!
